Our cadre of professional driving instructors will give you the most entertaining and educational performance driving experience available anywhere. With many racing championships under their belt in varying disciplines, our guys have also been through extensive instructor training courses and are ready to teach you the skills you’re looking for in a laid-back, fun environment.
Tim O’Neil has won five production-based US and North American Rally Championships. Tim was a factory driver for Volkswagen and Mitsubishi through the late 80s and early 90s, and drove for the official Air Force Reserve team in the early 2000s. Tim earned a reputation for his driving skill early on in his career, beating many (and often all) of the Open Class teams with two-wheel-drive cars. He is also one of the very few American drivers to have competed internationally.
Through the mid-90s, Tim worked with a number of manufacturers teaching advanced driving techniques and launching new products. He also instructed over 3,000 students at driving schools in the United States, England, Scotland, and Wales. In 1997, Tim opened the Team O’Neil Rally School with the vision of building the best driving school in the world.
Tim is now partially retired, and works directly with our management to develop our curriculum and schedules, trains our instructors, and continues to oversee operations at the school, constantly refining and adapting the curriculum to stay current with the times.
Chris has been in charge of operations and business development here at the rally school for several years now. He’s been instrumental in forming partnerships, managing course operations, securing contracts, and works directly with Tim O’Neil to develop Team O’Neil into the safest, most fun, and most instructive performance driving school in the world.
Director of Training
Travis is in charge of all courses and instructors here at the Rally School, and has been with the team since ’07. He’s been racing successfully since ’05 and is the only driver to ever win a rally Overall with a Super Production car, is a National Rally Champion, and has competed in the X-Games several times.
Facility Manager/Lead Instructor
One of our veteran instructors, Chris has been with Team O’Neil since ’09. From leading courses here at Team O’Neil to managing our road network and trail systems, Chris has been a huge asset to the team. Chris also grooms ski trails at Cannon Mountain and has worked for many years with the White Mountain National Forest.
Special Projects Director
Past Rally Champion Wyatt Knox spent many years as Lead Instructor here at the school, and has competed in races all over the world. He now handles much of our marketing and media, as well as course development, instructor training, and much more.
When not running sub-5 minute miles, Brent coordinates many of the operations on the motorsports side of Team O’Neil. He’s been personally competing in Rally-X since 2008 in his ’91 Honda CRX.
Steve comes to Team O’Neil with an extensive background in off-road and desire tracing, having competed successfully for many years in the Dakar Rally, Baja, Best in The Desert Series, and many more. Steve now Races the Rally America series in a Ford Fiesta ST when he’s not teaching here at the school.
Tom spent many years in the ski industry designing and building terrain parks at Loon Mountain and Waterville Valley. He’s now one of our top instructors and has won many autoX events including a SCCNH Championship. He’s also the Co-Founder of SOLiD Modifications and plans on competing in the American Rally Association soon.
Chris has been with Team O’Neil since ’02 and is one of our veteran instructors. He’s also one of the top race mechanics in the US, and travels the world with Subaru Rally Team USA and Global Rallycross.
Max comes to Team O’Neil with an extensive background in OHRV operations, having competed successfully in motocross and has taken his love of speed to the world of rally racing. Max is also one of our best off-road instructors, and Lead Instructor for the OHRV Safety Foundation.
Jacob has been with Team O’Neil since 2014, and comes from a varied background including several years of professional driving for the US Ski Team as they tackled the World Cup series all across Europe. Jake is valued member of our full-time instructor cadre here at the Rally School, and looks forward to competing in rally events in the future.
Pam has been at with the team since 2011 and handles the majority of the office-related tasks here at the school. Her first car was a Volkswagon Bug, and she loves all things chocolate.
Jesse is responsible for our fleet of 70+ rally school cars as well as equipment, and comes from a serious technical off-roading background here in the northeast. Jesse has been with Team O’Neil since ’11 and has worked for both Ford and GM, is ASE certified, and is an experienced metal fabricator.
Jarred has been with the team since ’12, and is coming up through the ranks in local circle track racing where he recently earned the Rookie of the Year Award.
Josh is a well rounded mechanic with a background in automotive, diesel and heavy equipment repair. In his spare time he likes to be with his family. He also has a passion for building and restoring fast cars. His dream car is a 55 Chevy with a dual quad big block.
Fabricator & Bodywork
Rob is our resident fabricator and bodywork expert. He’s been with Team O’Neil since the beginning and is a long-time friend of Tim.
Brian has been with Team O’Neil as a mechanic for several years, and has recently returned from serving our country overseas. With an extensive off-road and mechanical background, expect to see Brian stepping into an instructor role for select courses in the future.
Pascal has been with Team O’Neil for many years and is one of the most qualified rally mechanics in The States. He’s also an avid hillclimb racer and has competed successfully in several rally events with his Saab 900 turbo.
Marcel Has been with the Team O’Neil crew for several years, and is an expert motorsports mechanic for us supporting the Rally America National Championship series. He also competes in hillclimbs and rally events.
Motorsports Transport and Tech
“Trucker Steve” Marcotte has been with Team O’Neil for several years as our CDL licensed motorsports transport manager and as an expert tech on the road servicing race cars at events.
Motorsports Team Consultant
Martin has been co-driving in rally cars for over 35 years, has won more events and championships than he cares to remember, and has raced with some of the top names in the sport. Martin has been coordinating our Motorsports team for several years and handles logistics.
Alan has competed successfully in many different kinds of auto racing, and has been working with Team O’Neil off and on for around eight years. Formerly full-time and an expert instructor, Alan now fills in for us on some of our larger classes and for special events.
Allen comes to us after a long career in law enforcement and has been instructing professionally for many years. He’s also an expert canine trainer and plays bagpipes with NH Pipes and Drums, who recently opened for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Allan has been at Team O’Neil for over a year and is in charge of making sure the vehicles are clean and serviceable when you come take a course. Whether it’s washing cars or vacuuming interiors, Allan has one of the toughest jobs here so be sure to say hi when you see him!
Born and raised in NH, Tom is a master tech and spent 20+ years with GM. He’s been with us since ’09 and is an invaluable member of our shop crew.
