Looking to get involved with drifting? The Team O’Neil drift driving 3-Day Course can introduce you to the sport and/or help you progress your skills to a high level. We offer different levels of instruction that cater to everyone from beginners to intermediate drivers.
Team O’Neil’s drift driving course takes our 25 years of loose surface instruction to paved surfaces. The course is a 3-day curriculum and is the ultimate Drift Course that we offer.
YOU MUST BE PROFICIENT AT DRIVING A MANUAL TRANSMISSION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COURSE.
THE COURSE TAKES PLACE AT NEW HAMPSHIRE MOTOR SPEEDWAY outside of Concord, NH. The course runs from approximately 9am-4pm each day.
Over the first two days you learn the basics of car control, initiating the drift, drift angle, holding/carrying the drift, linking/transitions, drift lines, vehicle setup, 3-turn slalom, long radius turns to perfect linking corners and what to expect when you attend a drift event. This training closely mirrors our 2-Day Drift School.
Day 3 takes things to another level. You will focus on multi-turn courses featuring varying degrees of turns. You’ll work on controlling speed of the vehicle as you carry your drift. You’ll apply these differing speeds to various corners and learn how to adjust for these variations. You’ll focus on placing the car in “zones” of the course, filling outside areas and getting tight on inner clip zones. Left foot braking and utilizing the hand brake while drifting will also be introduced to help accomplish these tasks.
Our pricing does include the use of our Drift vehicles. Team O’Neil provides several types of vehicles including Ford Mustangs, Infiniti G35’s and 1-series BMW’s.
If you have your own helmet we ask you to bring that, helmets need to be SA2010+, we do have loaner helmets on hand as well. We do ask that students are comfortable driving a manual transmission, it will improve your experience. Our one-day rally school can also serve as an introduction to manual transmissions.
Costs:
- Course Instruction and Rental – $5,300 for the 3 day course: Covers all costs including safety equipment, tires, fuel and instruction.
