Co-Driver School

Are you looking to become a rally co-driver or do you want to become a better co-driver? If so, the Team O’Neil Co-Driver School will give you an in-depth, two-day training experience. Like all of our courses we will keep classroom time to a minimum and focus on hands-on training getting you comfortable in rally scenarios.

The course takes place at (and around!) the Team O’Neil facility in Dalton, NH. This course is designed for two students to work together, if you come alone you will be paired with another student. Techniques you will learn and experience include:

• Learning about time cards, route books, time controls
• How to use a Monit rally computer
• Setting up a street car for recce
• Learn co-driver glossary and short-hand
• How to use and modify Jemba notes
• Introduction to writing your own stage notes
• Run actual simulated rally stages with a Team O’Neil instructor driving and you calling notes from the right seat
• Experience actual challenges you will face during a stage rally
• Learn the roles of rally volunteers and officials to have a greater understanding of the purpose and requirements of different co-driver responsibilities
• Simulated TSD and rally controls
• If students have desire and motivation, they can complete “homework” in the evenings in order to cover more content

Team O’Neil provides:
Monit rally computers, Rally Car, Safety Equipment, Stilo helmet and intercoms, office supplies, and lunch

Student provides:
Vehicle (or rental car) capable of driving on dirt roads at posted speed limits, phone and watch for timing purposes
