As Team O’Neil approaches its 30th anniversary, it is increasingly common for past students to want to return to the rally school decades later with their children to share the fun and education of Team O’Neil with the next generation.
This was demonstrated on a recent episode of the Shawn Ryan Show in which Shawn talked with Bajiu Bhatt, co-founder of Robinhood and automotive enthusiast. In a conversation about driving schools, Ryan referenced coming to Team O’Neil in his past.
“So there’s this course in New Hampshire, It’s called the O’Neil rally racing course,” reminisced Ryan. “This is a long time ago, but you’re out in the middle of nowhere in New Hampshire, you start off in little Ford Fiestas and move to Audis and BMWs for rear wheel drive, and you’re just on these little trails in the mountains out there. You’ve gotta check this out. The coolest f–king driving school I’ve ever taken,” said Ryan
As the conversation continued, Ryan talked about wanting to share this experience with his family. “When my son gets older that’s one of the first things I want to do with him,” said Ryan. “When he can see over the steering wheel, get him out there on those trails.”
“Actually, as you’re saying this, I’m thinking about wanting to do that with my boys,” echoed Bhatt. “They would love that.”
Ryan went on to share more memories of his fun experiences at Team O’Neil and express his desire to return to the school. “The instructors are phenomenal. I can’t wait to do it again,” said Ryan. “That’s not a plug. It’s just awesome!”
Team O’Neil looks forward to Ryan returning to the rally school with his son and delivering another fun week of training and fun experiences. It is an honor and a privilege for Team O’Neil to be a consistent experience throughout different generations of a family.
